Agent work is graded on behaviour, and behaviour varies from run to run. So a tool-design problem sends your tool descriptions 12 requests you have not seen, 3 times each, and a request only counts if every run gets it right.
That is what the credits pay for. Scripted problems run no model, so they are unlimited on both plans.

What stays free?
Every problem, the Docs on every problem, and the reference solutions. Nothing in the catalog is behind the paywall.
How do credits work?
Everything that calls a model (grading against a live model, each turn a repair agent takes, each hint) draws on one monthly allowance of credits, measured by what those calls actually cost. Your profile and the problem page show how much of this month's credits you have used, and they refill on the 1st. Premium gets 33× the credits. Scripted and local problems run no model, so they never count.
I already pay for Deep-ML.
Deep-Agnt and Deep-ML are separate subscriptions from the same team. If you pay for one, the monthly plan of the other is $5 a month off ($13 here), applied at checkout, for as long as the first stays active. If it ends, the second returns to full price at its next renewal. A yearly plan is $60 off ($84 here) when you have the other subscription at the time you buy, and again at each renewal if you still do. One discount per person; it does not combine with promo codes.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The monthly plan is billed monthly and can be cancelled any time.
